What can I as a person give back to the community? Everyone else might say, “ I can give back money or my give my old good clothes”. But, what I can give back is something people don’t really like to give back because they have better things to do and that is my time.

My time is valuable to me and it can be valuable to someone else too. I can spend my time by helping someone with homework, cleaning the streets, influencing someone to follow the right path. Just by spending time with someone can give them the idea that you care about them and the world. Showing that you care can make such a huge difference. By spending a little time even talking to someone about their problems can help them feel comfortable and willing to change. It shows that you are not just doing volunteer work for the hours and that you were forced to be there. It shows that with your time that you don’t think it is a waste of time for you but you think it is something special. Spend time with someone and help him or her with his or her family problems, help a student with some homework, spend time with your grandmother.

From past experience I have decided to spend my time by helping out the community by helping to  build a garden with many people around the community who live there. I spend time after practice and help plant seeds in the garden and clean up the garden. I am not even asking for community hours. The groups that I am working with they do not have to give me anything back. They have given me enough by letting me spend my time with them. I enjoy spending time.

 I think the community has given me everything I need a good school to attend, my friends, and the beautiful community. I as person feel like in the past I have hurt the community because I have done very bad things. And I feel like I have been already forgiven but now its just time to se what I can do with my power. And I can do that know with just one thing. Now is the time to do something and give back. Giving clothes and money feels like and sounds like you are paying for the community to stop bugging you about giving back and is it really amazing that you gave clothes? And all you can say is “oh, okay that’s it nothing else to do, I can spend my time at home watching television and eating greasy chips.” With anything you have to offer is always enough. For me everything has been given to me but now it is time to give something back that is valuable. I feel like the community has given me enough and I haven’t really given that much at all.

 With that power you can change the world.  With my power of one I choose to give back to the community by giving them my time to help them and be part of their lives. With my power of one I can make a difference and I can change the world in a small way or a huge way. But, all I know is that it will make a difference in my world and hopefully in many people worlds too.
